Emeric Prévost
Emeric Prévost is currently a research fellow at the University of Vienna. He undertook his PhD at the University of Paris Cité, in France, and currently lectures at the same University as well as at Meiji University in Tokyo, in addition to conducting research as a visiting scholar at the University of Kyushu for the Academic Year 2024-2025. He is admitted to practice law in France and is currently a member of the Expert Group to the EU Commission on matters of Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPP). He was previously expert advisor to the Council of Europe and authored in this capacity a study on libel tourism and the implementation of defamation laws in the Council of Europe’s Member States. His current research focuses on the law of FinTech and Crypto-Assets, the law of Global Value Chain (GVC) Governance, and more generally researches banking and financial law, comparative law, and private international law.
