Curriculum Vitae
Lukas Petschning graduated from the University of Vienna with a diploma degree in legal studies in 2024. For his academic achievements, he has received multiple scholarships of the University of Vienna and the Academic Scholarship Foundation for Law Students.
In the 2021/22 academic year, Lukas was a member of the University of Vienna’s team for the 29th Willem C. Vis Moot and advanced to the quarterfinals among more than 350 teams. His team received an award for the second-best Memorandum for Respondent, while Lukas was awarded an Honorable Mention for individual oral advocacy. Since the 2024/25 academic year, he has been coaching the team of the University of Vienna.
In October 2024, Lukas joined the chair of Professor Matthias Lehmann at the Department of European, International and Comparative Law as a pre-doctoral research and teaching assistant.
Since 2021, Lukas has also been pursuing a degree in Chinese Studies.
His research interests are in international dispute resolution, international arbitration, and conflict of laws.
