Master of Laws and Master of International Relations (Charles University, Prague); Diploma in English Law and European Law (Cambridge University); Master of Laws (Oxford University, St. Edmund Hall); Doctor of Laws (University of Oxford, St. Edmund Hall); Doctor of Laws (European University Institute, Florence); Further studies at the Free University of Brussels and at the University of Queensland (Australia); Research assistant to the President of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic (2005-2009), then Head of the Scientific Service of that Court (2008-2009); Qualified to hold judicial office in the Czech Republic (2009); Lecturer (2011-2012) and researcher (2013-2016) at the Institute of European and Comparative Law, Oxford University; Professor at the College of Europe, Bruges (2013-2015); Co-founder and former President of the Czech Association for European and Comparative Law; Lecturer and Visiting Professor at numerous universities within and outside Europe.
His research focuses on European law, European human rights protection, comparative public law, legal theory and legal methodology.
