with Giulio Alvaro Cortesi

Does the principle of equality apply exclusively within each individual legal order? Can reverse discrimination arising from intra-EU BITs be considered legally permissible? In what ways might reverse discrimination affect fair competition within the European market?

These are among the central questions explored in the research project RULIERD – Investment and EU Law: Reconceptualizing Reverse Discrimination, currently undertaken by Dr. Giulio Alvaro Cortesi under the mentorship of Professor Waibel at the University of Vienna.

In this presentation titled "Investment and European Law: Reconceptualizing Reverse Discrimination," Dr. Cortesi will provide preliminary answers to these questions.
